Pre-Lenten Dinner
6:30 pm, Friday, February 6
California Room in the St. Francis Center
Join your Mission community in preparation for Lent! We’ll start with a delicious soup supper featuring two soups from the “Tomorrow Project,” tossed green salad, rolls and butter and home-made cake for dessert.
Our guest speaker is Kent Peters, Director of the San Diego Diocesan Office for Social Ministry and his topic is “The Antidote to Living in a Culture of Luxury.”
The workshop will grapple with the little known Catholic Social Teaching, “The Universal Destination of Earthly Goods,” and help participants redirect their lives to more fully embrace a path consistent with the will of God and the message of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Space is limited, an advanced purchased ticket ($10 per adult) is required to attend.
Tickets will be available after all Masses on Saturday and Sunday, January 31st and February 1st.
