Religious Education Registration will be held in the Alcala Room off the fountain courtyard after all Sunday Masses on September 4 and 11. Children aged 4 years old through Grade 6 will begin class September 18, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. Sacramental classes will also be offered Sunday mornings. Teachers will be commissioned September 18 at the 9:00 a.m. Mass in St. Francis Chapel. Thank you for your support of the Mission’s Religious Education programs. RCIA

An Invitation to the RCIA

The community of Mission San Diego de Alcalá cordially invites you to enter the RCIA process this fall and experience a new and enriched meaning to your life through renewed faith and love. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a process whereby new members join the Catholic Church.
The RCIA is specifically designed for the following people:
1) Those adults who have never been baptized and who want to inquire into the Catholic faith.
2) Those adults who have been baptized into another Christian tradition (Lutheran, Episcopalian, Methodist, etc.) who want to inquire into the Catholic faith.
3) Those baptized Catholic adults who have not completed the Sacraments (Eucharist or Confirmation).

The Mission RCIA process will begin Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 7:30 pm in the California Room of the St. Francis Center.
